About the Programme
The Campus Ambassador Programme identifies passionate law students who will
- Lead daily actions engaging with law and justice;
- Create a community of campus ambassadors within Legal Institutions;
- Implement the Active Citizen Challenge in local communities; and
- Develop essential professional skills while creating meaningful social impact.
The Programme Campus Ambassadors also lead the Active Citizen Challenge — a structured programme where student teams:
- Learn – receive comprehensive training on legal awareness facilitation,
- Lead – build and train a team of Student Leaders at Universities,
- Act – complete practical legal tasks in identified communities, and
- Impact – create measurable change through legal literacy initiatives.
Our Campus Ambassadors then work across diverse legal domains, including:
- Rights Awareness: Including domestic violence prevention, labour rights, constitutional awareness, and child rights.
- Legal Safeguards: Including consumer protection, financial crimes prevention, RTE implementation, and cybercrime prevention.
- Citizen Empowerment: Including RTI Filings, letters, compliance surveys, Social Welfare and documentation.
Eligibility
Any student pursuing a law degree (3 or 5 year programme), regardless of the year of study, is eligible to apply.
Duration
Pre Programme
2 weeks
Application: Campus Outreach activities and Application Collection.
Selection: Shortlisting, Virtual Interviews, Final Selection, and Communication.
During Programme
Month 1: Foundation Building
Orientation, Training Module 1: Field Preparation, Community Engagement. 1 Action and 1 Awareness Based task
Month 2: Skill Development & Implementation
Training Module 2: Material Development, Community Implementation, Reflection & Adjustment. 1 Action and 1 Awareness Based task
Month 3: Action & Impact
Training Module 3: Legal Interventions, Impact Creation, Documentation & Closure. 1 Action and 1 Awareness Based task.
Post Programme
2 weeks
Evaluation, Recognition, & Translation: Programme Evaluation, Certification, and Alumni Integration.
Responsibilities
- Legal Awareness Campaigns: Organize legal workshops, create accessible legal information materials , and conduct community legal literacy sessions.
- Direct Assistance: Support RTI and legal notice filing, assist with government portal complaint submissions, and help community members navigate social welfare schemes.
- Research & Documentation: Conduct community legal needs surveys, perform compliance checks for local institutions, and document barriers to justice access.
- Leadership Development: Build and manage your Campus Ambassador team, organize campus-wide awareness events, and represent OutLawed at your institution.
