The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is undertaking a market study to better gauge antitrust issues in the renewable energy sector across the so-called BRICS member nations.
“The study report is being prepared based on inputs received from the competition authorities of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) nations,” the corporate affairs ministry said in a statement, detailing the steps taken and its associated regulators in 2024.
The antitrust regulator is already doing another market study on artificial intelligence in India.
The ministry said about 487,000 youths have already registered themselves on the portal to take advantage of the PM Internship Scheme, completing the necessary documentation.
The ministry had received as many as 621,000 applications, against the internship opportunities for 127,000 placed by various companies, as part of a pilot project that would be scaled up in the coming months. “The selection process for internship is ongoing,” it said. Already, a large batch of eligible candidates started their internships on December.
Each selected intern will get at least a monthly allowance of Rs 5,000 for one year, on top of a one-time aid of Rs 6,000.- Our Bureau
