Today Mr. T.T.Diengdoh, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Ms.
D.Khongwir, learned counsel has shown to the Court a communication
dated 28-02-2025, indicating that notices had been issued to the traders at
Majai, East Khasi Hills District on 25-11-2024 and 03-12-2024 to submit
their individual applications, but the same has not been complied with
except for one Chanchal Debnath.
The letter has been perused, however, it is important to note that
the directions of this Court in the order dated 04-10-2023 were specific and
apart from directing that the renewal should be considered in accordance
with the Act and Rules, certain directions had also been issued whereby, a
Special Officer had been directed to be appointed to process the said
applications and to put up the same before the Licensing Authority.
