Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Mavco Investments (belonging to select members of Murugappa family) on its acquisition of the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s wind turbine generator business in India and Sri Lanka. as part of the consortium led by TPG. Siemens Gamesa and Prashant Jain will also hold minority stake in the consortium.
The transaction was led by Vandana Sekhri, Partner. She was assisted by Kushal Ramotre, Director – Corporate Transactions, Lokit Khurana, Associate; and Kabeer Jay, Associate.

The definitive agreements for the transaction were signed on March 26, 2025.
