Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonepat, is set to welcome the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Batch of 2025–2030 with an elaborate Student Induction Programme titled “Deeksharambh”, commencing on 2nd August 2025. This significant academic ceremony will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. M. Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India, as the Chief Guest.
First Deeksharambh Under New Vice-Chancellor
This induction marks the first such event under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Singh, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of DBRANLU. Prof. Singh, a distinguished academic and legal professional, has previously served as Chairperson, Department of Law, Punjab University, Chandigarh. His vast academic and administrative experience is expected to bring new dimensions to the University’s growth.

Hon’ble Mr. Justice M.M. Sundresh is known for his progressive jurisprudence and landmark decisions, such as ordering a CBI probe into interstate elephant poaching, advocating for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s image on currency notes, challenging constraints on EWS certificates, initiating reviews on NPA norms, and clarifying appellate paths in criminal complaints.
