Delhivery Limited has received an order under Section 73 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 read with section 20 of the IGST Act, 2017, for the FY 2020-21, confirming tax amount to ₹ 5,35,73,244/-, applicable interest thereon and penalty of Rs. ₹ 53,57,324/-, according the the Company’s regulatory filing.
The demand has been raised due to the disallowance of Input Tax Credit, allegedly due to short ITC reversal under rule 42/43; disallowed ITC from dealers whose GSTIN is cancelled retrospectively; and disallowed ITC from dealers who have failed to file their GSTR-3B.
The government of West Bengal, Directorate of Commercial Taxes, confirmed the demand on February 26, 2025.
The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appellate authority. “The Company will be filing an appeal against the order with the appellate authority, ” Delhivery Limited said in its regulatory filing.
The disclosure before the exchange was made under regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Regulations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
