Tell us about the infrastructure of your law college
Since our college began in 2024 with its first batch, we do not yet have a permanent campus. Currently, we are operating from a temporary campus at BBS College of Engineering in Phaphamau, with plans to shift to a new permanent campus in Jhalwa by 2026, once construction is completed and more space becomes available.
Our classrooms are equipped with smartboards and air conditioners, providing a comfortable and modern learning environment. We have a well-stocked library with a wide range of books, along with dedicated study quarters that accommodate all students.
A large ground adjacent to the campus allows us to play various sports, including football and cricket. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with the option to install air conditioners. Daily cleaning services help maintain a hygienic living space.

How are the academic culture and faculty in your college?
There are six faculty members, each specializing in a distinct subject area. All of them are highly qualified and possess strong academic backgrounds, bringing deep expertise to their respective fields.
The academic environment is quite rigorous, with long hours of classes each day. As a result, there is limited opportunity for extracurricular activities or pursuits beyond the curriculum. That said, students do enjoy weekends off, with a two-day holiday every week.
Students must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance to be eligible for college examinations. Those who fall below this threshold are not permitted to sit for exams. Attendance also contributes to internal assessment, with students earning up to 5 marks based on their attendance percentage.
Classes run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a one-hour break allotted for meals.

How’s the peer quality in your college?
The peer quality at our college is excellent, as admissions are strictly merit-based. Students are highly knowledgeable, motivated, and eager to learn. Everyone shares a strong aspiration for success and enjoys a sense of camaraderie.
The classroom environment is positive and engaging, with regular debates on various topics that enrich students’ understanding and encourage critical thinking.

Tell us about the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
RPNLU fosters an encouraging atmosphere for students to engage in a wide range of clubs, societies, and events beyond the classroom.
The Moot Court Society provides students with opportunities to participate in national-level moot court competitions. Remarkably, even first-semester students from our college have already won prizes in various competitions. Similarly, the Debate and Discussion Society enables students to take part in debate competitions and conducts weekly group discussions every Thursday to sharpen debating skills and enhance awareness of current affairs.
The Cultural Society brings much-needed levity to our rigorous academic routine by organizing events such as Garba nights and Bollywood-themed evenings. The Sports Society keeps students active by hosting football, cricket, badminton, and chess tournaments.
Additionally, the Legal Aid Society offers practical exposure through field initiatives and ‘Nukkad Nataks’—street plays that creatively raise legal awareness.
How are the placements in your college?
The University’s Internship and Externship Society is highly active, facilitating internships for students at reputed organizations such as the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), and the Indian Law Institute. Students have also interned with prominent NGOs like Shakti Vahini, the GIF Foundation, and the Ladli Foundation.
As this is our inaugural batch, formal placement records are not yet available. However, the robust internship pipeline reflects promising career prospects for future cohorts.

How are the hostels in your college?
The hostels at our college are excellent, offering each student a spacious room furnished with a high-quality study table and chair. Accommodation is mandatory for both boys and girls, fostering a cohesive residential community.
Each floor has six bathrooms and six washrooms, all maintained in a hygienic condition through daily cleaning services. A dedicated badminton court within the hostel premises provides a welcome break from the rigorous academic schedule, helping students unwind and stay active.
While the temporary campus does limit overall capacity—causing vacancies to fill up quickly—the facilities themselves are comfortable and adequately meet students’ basic needs.

What are the best things you like about your college?
The greatest asset of our college is its location in Prayagraj, which offers unparalleled access to the legal world. Being so close to the Allahabad High Court allows students to observe court proceedings firsthand, attend hearings, and even interact informally with judges and practicing lawyers.
This proximity not only deepens our understanding of courtroom practices but also helps us build relationships with seasoned legal professionals. Equally valuable is the university’s commitment to organizing high-level conferences and seminars.
For example, the recent International Conference on Law, Technology, and Sustainability brought together experts from around the globe, giving students exposure to cutting-edge discussions that extend well beyond the typical curriculum. Events like these foster networking with academics, practitioners, and policymakers—an opportunity that significantly enriches our learning experience and shapes our future career paths.
In your opinion, what are bad things about your college?
The most significant drawback of RPNLU is its high fees structure, which ranks among the highest in all NLUs and increases by 5% each year. This steady escalation places a heavy financial burden on students—particularly those from low-income families—making it nearly impossible for many to afford a legal education here.
The academic schedule is quite rigorous, with long hours of classes leaving little time for extracurricular pursuits or personal downtime during the weekdays. Additionally, operating from a temporary campus limits our ability to organize larger events, such as annual fests, and means that our infrastructure remains makeshift.
Moreover, with only six faculty members handling all core subjects, the existing professors are severely overburdened—juggling heavy teaching loads, class preparation, and mentoring responsibilities.
Finally, the current academic approach is overly theoretical—faculty often rely on slide presentations and note-taking—so there is a pressing need to integrate more practical learning opportunities, such as workshops, and hands-on simulations, to better prepare students for real-world legal practice.
Anything else you want to share?
Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA offers a balanced mix of academic and personal growth opportunities. While there are certain areas that need improvement—such as placement transparency, hostel availability, and sports infrastructure—the exposure, discipline, and brand value it offers play a significant role in shaping students’ careers.
The college environment actively encourages student involvement through various clubs, committees, and events, contributing to overall personality development. With greater transparency and infrastructure enhancements, the institution has the potential to become one of the top law schools in the country.

RPNLU is already reaching impressive milestones within just a year of its establishment and is steadily building a strong foundation for the future. With its second batch set to join in the coming months, the university is poised to grow both academically and institutionally.
Despite being in its early stages, RPNLU has shown great promise by offering valuable learning opportunities, active student societies, and exposure to real-world legal settings. As the permanent campus is developed and more resources are added, the university is well on its way to becoming one of the leading institutions for legal education in the country.
