FIEO HOSTS ONE-DAY PROGRAM ON EXPORT DOCUMENTATION AND TRADE FINANCE AT HYDERABAD

Recently, our Chief Legal Consultant & Co-Founder, Mrs. Sushila Ram Varma, was invited as a distinguished speaker and expert, at the Federation of Indian Export Organisation’s (FIEO) One Day Program on Export Documentation and Trade Finance.

On 21st August 2025, FIEO successfully organized a one-day program on Export Documentation and Trade Finance at Hyderabad. The program aimed to equip entrepreneurs, exporters, start-ups, and professionals with practical knowledge of export-related processes, compliance requirements, and financial mechanisms essential for international trade.

The sessions covered a wide spectrum of topics, including Foreign Trade Policy, Export Documentation and Procedures, role of Incoterms, ECGC’s support in safeguarding exporters, international trade dispute resolution mechanisms, and trade finance essentials. Participants were also briefed on the significance of Certificates of Origin, valuation norms, and compliance frameworks issued by regulatory bodies such as DGFT, ICEGATE, and Customs.
A panel of distinguished experts addressed the participants, sharing their domain-
specific insights. Among them were:

Chapter of FIEO, led by Sri R. Kulkarni, played a pivotal role in coordinating the event.

Representing the legal domain, Mrs. Sushila Ram Varma delivered an impactful session focusing on the importance of legal due diligence in international trade. She highlighted how robust dispute resolution mechanisms, contractual safeguards, and compliance with global regulatory frameworks play a decisive role in building exporters’ confidence.
