1. In terms of the directions given in the order dated 19.02.2025
requiring presence of the Deputy Controller, Legal
Metrology Enforcement Kashmir, Mr. Mohammad
Muzaffar Wani, Deputy Controller Legal Metrology
Enforcement, Kashmir is present in person today and first
clarifying that the Seizure Memo No. 1782 dated 16.01.2025,
which is the impugned action in the present writ petition, has

been issued by the Legal Metrology Officer Circle-II
Srinagar.
2. Mr. Mohammad Muzaffar Wani when pointed out by this
Court that the carbon copy of the Seizure Memo delivered to
the petitioner does not bear out reading of stamp/seal of the
Legal Metrology Officer Circle-II, Srinagar, very fairly
admits that it is an error of attention on the part of the
Legal Metrology Officer-II Srinagar in having super imposed
the seal on the printed words-Legal Metrology Officer,
Deputy Assistant Controller/ Inspector making the seal
unreadable for the benefit of the petitioner as being the
person to whom the carbon copy of the Seizure Memo No.
178 dated 16.02.2025 was delivered.
