The petitioner has filed this petition U/Sec.166 of
the Motor Vehicles Act claiming compensation for the
injuries sustained by him in a road traffic accident that
occurred on 12.01.2023.
2. The petition averments in brief are as
under:
On 12.01.2023 at about 9.50am the petitioner was
riding the Bajaj Motorcycle bearing Reg.No.KA-50-S-5935
on Doddaballapura Main Road, near Nagenahalli Bus
Stop and at that time the Car bearing No.KA-50-MB-6398
driven by its driver in a rash and negligent manner,
suddenly took U-turn and dashed against the petitioner’s
motorcycle. Due to the said impact, the petitioner fell
down and sustained grievous injuries.
Immediately after the accident, he was shifted to
Raksha Health Care Hospital, wherein provided first aid
and treated as an inpatient from 12.01.2023 to
14.01.2023, underwent surgery and discharged with
advise to take bed rest. So far petitioner has spent
Rs.2,00,000/- towards medical, conveyance, nourishment
and attendant expenses.
