1. The petitioner-Institute, through the present petition filed under
Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeks a writ of mandamus
directing the respondents to grant renewal of approval for the Session
2024-2025 in its favour. The petitioner further prays for a direction to
the respondents to provide secure access to the PCI Portal by
furnishing the ID and password directly to the petitioner-Institute,
with a further stipulation that the same shall not be communicated to
the private respondents.
2. Mr. T.M. Shamsi, learned DSGI for the respondents, submits that the
petitioner-institute has been provided with the login ID and password.
3. Mr. M.Y. Bhat, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner, submits that
although the login ID and password have been provided, the
respondents have yet to take a decision regarding the registration of
the petitioner’s institution for the session 2024-2025.
4. Be that as it may, the present petition is disposed of with a direction
to respondent No. 1 to take a decision on the issue of registration of
the petitioner-institute for the session 2024-2025 within a period of
two weeks from the date a copy of this order is made available to him,
by passing a speaking order.
5. Disposed of, accordingly.
