About the ICREP Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies

ICREP Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies is an open access peer reviewed journal published quarterly by the Centre. The primary objective of the journal is to serve as an important academic platform to deal with contemporary affairs in the areas that encompass the intersection of law and ethics in relation to science and technology.

Eligibility

ICREP is pleased to invite the submission of well researched articles from academicians and researchers.

Theme

Any interdisciplinary area having an interlinkage between law, science, technology and ethics.

Submission Procedure

• All submissions should be sent with a cover letter indicating the name of the author, designation and e-mail address.
• There should be an abstract which should encompass the structure, rationale and scope of the paper with 5 key words (Not less than 250 words).
• The submission should be made through the journal website.The document should be in Microsoft word (.docx) format.
• After submission through the journal website , the details like name of the author, designation, email ID, mobile number and the title of the paper may be sent to the email ID; icrepjournal@cusat.ac.in.

Submission Guidelines

• The first page of the document should contain:
  • Full name of the author(s)
  • Name of the affiliated Institution/Organization/University
  • Educational Qualification
• Co-authorship of a maximum of two is allowed.
• Proper acknowledgement must be given for the use of the literature referred to in the research paper.
• The submitted paper should be Interdisciplinary in nature and must contain an interlinkage between law, science, technology and ethics.
• The paper must contain an abstract of not less than 250 words followed by at least 5 keywords.
• All the papers must contain an Introduction and Conclusion with suggestions.
• The article must contain a minimum of 4000 words and should not exceed 8000 words.
• The Submission should be in Word format only.
• The layout must follow the criteria below:
  • Font size: headings -14; Body-12
  • Margin: Left-1.5; Right-1; Top-1; Bottom-1
  • Footnote: Times New Roman with Font size-10
  • Subheadings: Times New Roman-12, Left- Aligned
• Footnotes should be in Bluebook (20^th ed.) citation format.
• A Plagiarism report should also be submitted along with the paper. Papers exceeding 10% similarity will be summarily rejected.
• There is a strict prohibition of usage of ChatGPT or such other AI tools in the paper. If found, such papers will be summarily rejected.
• Authors bear the responsibility for the accuracy of the references; therefore, each reference should be thoroughly checked.
• Acronyms or short forms (especially non-standard) must be written out in brackets accompanied by their full form.
• The copyright of all entries shall exclusively vest with Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon Interdisciplinary Centre for Research Ethics and Protocols and the submission would imply that the author has assigned such rights to the Centre.
• The author is required to attach a declaration form stating that his/her work is original and hasn’t been published anywhere or not in consideration for publication elsewhere.
• Contributors/authors are required to strictly adhere to the publication policy and ethical standards prescribed by the journal.
• Those who have earlier contributed to the earlier issues of journal may avoid contributing to the current issue.
• All the articles/research paper/ notes/reviews shall be subjected to double peer review and subject to the final decision of the editorial board.
• *Authors must ensure that their email ID and contact number are clearly mentioned on the first page of the submission. Please note that only academicians and researchers are eligible to apply.
