There is no official email ID available for direct applications. You need to call the office, after which you’ll be connected to one of the associates. If internship slots are available, they will share an email ID where you can send your formal application.

First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
The first day was very relaxed. I waited outside the office until around 9:30 AM when a couple of associates arrived and warmly welcomed me in.
They gave me a quick tour of the office, a beautiful, spacious, two-storey setup located in a peaceful Chennai neighborhood with tree-lined streets and a calm atmosphere.
The office space was one of the nicest I’ve seen in a law firm, especially for a boutique setup with a small team. We were shown some active consumer court files and given an overview of the kind of matters the firm handles.
They were upfront about not having a very formal internship structure, but were genuinely welcoming and eager to guide interns. They even offered SCC Online access if needed, which was a big plus.
The environment felt young, friendly, and informal. Though I got in without any connections, I felt immediately included.
Main Tasks
Most of my work involved legal research and occasional drafting. I specifically worked on drafting an affidavit and researching issues related to consumer disputes, the Civil Procedure Code, and arbitration.
The associates typically ask about your comfort areas and assign work accordingly, which adds a personal touch. There were no rigid working hours or deadlines, and I had the freedom to plan my day.
A major highlight was accompanying the associates to observe court proceedings and even an arbitration hearing. These experiences offered practical insights into the functioning of litigation and ADR.
The associates were patient and always happy to explain procedures and legal nuances. I also got to sit in on client meetings, which gave me firsthand exposure to how legal advice is structured and delivered in real-world settings.
Work Environment
The work environment was extremely cordial, jovial, and supportive. The team is approachable and encourages questions and initiative. There’s a strong sense of trust, you’re given meaningful work and the freedom to manage your own time.
Associates often checked in to see how I was doing, and offered tea or coffee generously. The office is situated in a premium part of Chennai, with a calm ambiance and convenient commute options. There’s even a Starbucks two streets away, making breaks quite pleasant.
Overall, it was a relaxed yet professional environment that encouraged learning by doing and fostered genuine mentorship.
Good Things about the Internship
The best aspects of this internship were the people, the learning opportunities, and the level of independence. The associates are young, energetic, and genuinely interested in teaching. They take time to walk you through both substantive legal concepts and procedural nuances.
The exposure to real-world elements like client meetings, court hearings, and arbitration sessions was extremely valuable. The work assigned was not only substantial but also intellectually rewarding. You’re treated as part of the team, and your contributions are taken seriously.
There’s no micromanagement, but the work maintains a high standard, which pushes you to do your best. It’s a great environment for anyone who wants to grow in a supportive, non-hierarchical setup.
Bad Things about the Internship
Honestly, there wasn’t anything negative about the experience. Just be aware that the lack of a structured program means you need to be proactive to get the most out of it. If you take initiative, the team is more than willing to guide and support you.

Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
I’m a resident of Chennai, so commuting wasn’t an issue. The office is centrally located with a nearby bus stop, and it’s easily accessible via public transport. The location adds to the convenience and overall pleasantness of the experience.
Anything else you want to share?
One of the most valuable aspects of this internship was learning how legal work actually operates in a boutique firm. I picked up essential skills like communicating professionally, taking notes efficiently, asking timely questions, and staying proactive.
The firm works on high-quality cases and serves several high-profile clients, which became evident through the matters I was exposed to. Despite the informal setting, the team holds itself to high professional standards.
This internship showed me that legal excellence doesn’t require rigidity or hierarchy. A collaborative and relaxed atmosphere can still be incredibly enriching, both intellectually and professionally.
