First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
My first impression of the firm was highly positive; the disciplined, respectful atmosphere and culture of professionalism and teamwork made me feel welcomed and motivated to learn and contribute.
On the first day at the legal firm, I was warmly welcomed by the administrative team. I completed initial formalities, which included submitting documents, filling out basic forms, and attending an orientation session that outlined the firm’s policies and areas of practice. I was introduced to my reporting supervisor and the team and assigned a workspace.
The office infrastructure was modern and well-organized, featuring dedicated cabins for advocates, conference rooms, a resource-rich law library, and efficient IT support. It all contributed to a professional and functional work environment.
Main Tasks
My main responsibilities included assisting with RERA cases, conducting legal research, drafting notices and replies, preparing case summaries, and handling supporting documentation for real estate matters and other ongoing legal proceedings.
Work Environment
The work environment was professional, disciplined, and collaborative. The staff and seniors were approachable and supportive, always encouraging learning and growth. The office maintained a focused atmosphere with a clear structure and timely workflow, especially when dealing with RERA and other legal matters.
Good Things about the Internship.
My internship at the law firm was a highly enriching experience. I gained practical exposure to legal procedures, particularly in handling RERA cases, drafting legal documents, and conducting in-depth research. The supportive and knowledgeable mentors guided me through each task, enhancing my understanding of real estate and civil law.
The well-organized infrastructure and structured workflow helped me develop discipline, attention to detail, and confidence in legal drafting. Regular interactions with experienced advocates provided valuable insight into real-world legal practice, making this internship a significant step in my legal journey.
Bad Things about the Internship
While the internship was overall a valuable experience, there were a few areas that could have been improved. At times, the workload was too light or inconsistent, leading to idle periods. Some instructions lacked clarity, which made understanding expectations difficult initially.
Limited client interaction and courtroom exposure slightly restricted hands-on learning. Additionally, minimal feedback made it hard to assess my performance and progress. Despite these drawbacks, the internship still contributed meaningfully to my professional development and understanding of legal work.
