About the Internship:
The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), based in Hamburg, Germany, offers an internship programme for students of law and international relations with a focus on public international law and the law of the sea. The programme provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with the work of an international judicial body.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be enrolled in a law degree programme (undergraduate, graduate, or equivalent) at the time of application and must have completed at least three years of full-time legal studies.
Duration and Sessions:
Internships are offered for a period of three to six months. Selection rounds are held for the spring, summer, and autumn sessions.
Responsibilities:
Interns assist with legal research, case preparation, and may attend hearings, gaining first-hand insight into the Tribunal’s work.
