About the Opportunity
Waheed Ur Rehman Parra, Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Legislative Party Leader (who earlier served as Advisor to the late Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed), is inviting applications for Onsite Research Interns.
This internship program offers a rare opportunity to gain direct, hands-on exposure to the functioning of legislative institutions, public policy formulation, and grassroots governance in Jammu and Kashmir. Selected interns will work directly with the legislator and his office on various projects related to policymaking, legal research, and communications.

Eligibility & Preferred Background
Applicants from the following academic and professional backgrounds will be given preference:

Applicants from Jammu and Kashmir will be preferred.Students in their final year, recent graduates, and young professionals are encouraged to apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting speeches, press releases, policy briefs, and legislative notes.
- Conduct in-depth research on political, legal, and governance issues, particularly those concerning Jammu & Kashmir.
- Support the MLA in preparing interventions for Assembly debates and discussions.
- Provide timely analytical inputs on key policy areas such as employment, education, youth issues, human rights, grassroots governance, and security.
- Engage in field visits, community interactions, and constituency-level documentation to understand grassroots challenges.
- Contribute to strategic communications, media outreach, and digital content development.
