                                  ------

CORAM: – HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH

—–

For the Petitioner : Mrs. J. Mazumdar, Advocate
For the State : Mr. Pankaj Kr. Mishra, A.P.P.

02/25.07.2025
Heard the parties.

Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Angara P.S.
Case No. 46/2024, registered under Sections 148/ 325/ 302/ 201/ 504/
506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 03/04 of the Prevention of
Witch (Daain) Practices Act, pending in the Court of Miss Ila Kandpal,
learned J.M., 1st Class, Ranchi.

Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court
vide B.A. No.8315 of 2024 by order dated 28.10.2024.

It is alleged that the petitioner and co-accused persons had assaulted
the father of the informant, due to which he succumbed to his injuries.

It appears that on the basis of confession of this petitioner lathi which
was used in committing the murder of the deceased was recovered.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is in
custody since 30.05.2024, but the case has not yet been committed to the
Court of Sessions.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the
petitioner on bail. Accordingly, her prayer for bail stands rejected.

The learned Magistrate shall commit the case to the Court of Sessions
and on the very next date, learned Session Judge shall expedite the trial.
