About the Event
Jus Consilium, the flagship Client Counselling Competition of Saveetha School of Law, is a two-day national-level event scheduled for 26th and 27th September. This competition is a platform that brings together budding legal minds from across the country to test their client interaction skills in a simulated professional setting.
Unlike traditional moot courts, Jus Consilium focuses on the lawyer-client dynamic — emphasizing active listening, legal analysis, emotional intelligence, and ethical decision-making. Participants will be presented with challenging legal scenarios where they must interact with clients, identify core issues, and advise with clarity and precision.
Over two days of intense rounds and expert evaluation, law students will not only showcase their legal knowledge but also gain exposure to the softer skills crucial in legal practice. Jus Consilium aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world lawyering — making it an unmissable event for every aspiring legal professional.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to students enrolled in a recognised 3-year or 5-year law programme in India. Each institution may register only four teams. Each team shall compose of 2 counsels.
Registration Procedure
The Event is restricted to 24 Teams. The first 24 teams who provisionally register via the provided google form shall be eligible to participate in Preliminary rounds. Registration fee to participate shall be Rs. 3000. Form to register provisionally shall be found inside the Brochure. Payment Details and Final Registration form shall be sent to the first 24 teams via mail.
