KPMSoL offers air-conditioned classrooms equipped with smart boards and is rated 5/5 for classroom infrastructure. The library is well-stocked with updated law books, journals, AIR reports, and provides access to legal databases such as Manupatra, LiveLaw, HeinOnline, Westlaw Asia, and Westlaw Classic—earning a rating of 4/5.

As the college building does not have dedicated sports grounds, events are conducted at external venues, resulting in a sports facilities rating of 2/5. Hostel facilities are provided in PG-style accommodations with double, triple, or quad-sharing rooms—rated 3/5.

The non-law (BBA) faculty is highly qualified, with several members having authored publications and received international recognition. They effectively use the Socratic method, provide readings and PPTs, and explain technical concepts clearly—rated 5/5.

The law faculty, though academically accomplished with research publications, often rely more on PPT-based teaching than interactive discussions. Most are approachable and helpful, although one or two may lack effective teaching skills—rated 3.5/5.

Attendance is strictly enforced—80% is mandatory, with only medical exemptions accepted; otherwise, students face debarment—rated 3/5.

Class Timings:

  • 1st & 2nd Year: 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • 3rd Year: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • 4th & 5th Year: Reduced timings

Class schedules are well-balanced in line with the legal curriculum—rated 4/5. Guest lectures are regularly organized, often coordinated collaboratively by students and faculty.

The college attracts a diverse range of students, all united by a shared interest in law. While some are highly dedicated—publishing papers, leading committees, and excelling in moots—others contribute vibrantly through cultural and extracurricular activities.

This balance fosters a dynamic environment where students are free to explore their interests and find their niche with ease. The college also prioritizes student well-being, upholding strong anti-ragging and anti-bullying policies, which make it a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for all.

Rating: 4/5

Life outside the classroom is truly one of the highlights of KPMSoL. With over 10 vibrant committees—ranging from Moot Court and ADR to media, dance, drama, and literature—there’s always something exciting happening.

These platforms offer students opportunities to explore new skills, take initiative, and collaborate closely with seniors and peers. Additionally, frequent interactions with real-world professionals—judges, advocates, even commissioners—often open doors to internships. It’s an incredible space to grow, network, and genuinely enjoy the law school journey.

Rating: 4.5/5

Placements at KPMSoL benefit significantly from one key advantage—its location in Mumbai, the legal and commercial hub of India. Whether you’re aiming for litigation, corporate law, arbitration, or even niche fields like sports or media law, opportunities are plentiful.

Top firms like SAM, Trilegal, and Khaitan have hired from the college, and many students independently secure internships or pre-placement offers. While a placement cell is in place, the system especially rewards those who are proactive. The support is available—you just need to seek it out.

Rating: 4/5

The hostel system is more flexible than traditional setups. While there are a few college-hosted accommodations in PG-style arrangements, most students opt for private PGs nearby—and there’s no shortage of options. Whether you’re looking for something budget-friendly or more premium, you’ll find places within walking distance or a short commute.

This flexibility allows students to choose what suits them best, and many feel that this independence enhances their overall experience of living and studying in Mumbai.

What truly stands out is the location—right in the heart of Mumbai. This means easy access to courts, law firms, internships, and networking events, making professional opportunities almost effortless to pursue. Although we’re a relatively young law school, established in 2013, our alumni have already made impressive strides in the legal field, and that’s something we’re genuinely proud of.

Adding to that is an incredibly diverse and driven student community. Whether you’re passionate about mooting, legal writing, business, or the arts, you’re sure to find your tribe here. Each year feels like a fresh chapter, full of new possibilities and experiences.

To be fair, most of the so-called ‘downsides’ are really just perspective-based. If you walk in comparing everything to an NLU, you might feel the difference in legacy — but that doesn’t mean the opportunities here are any less. In fact, the infrastructure is strong, the location is unbeatable, and the environment encourages you to take charge of your growth.

Being a newer law school means there’s still room to shape its identity, and that’s actually a great opportunity for those who want to stand out. At the end of the day, your experience will reflect how much you’re willing to make of it.

If you’re thinking about KPMSoL, here’s something to keep in mind — your experience truly depends on what you make of it. The college offers a solid foundation, a vibrant environment, and the unbeatable advantage of being in Mumbai, with its endless opportunities.

Whether you’re focused on law, leadership, learning, or networking, there’s plenty of room to grow and thrive. Every student finds their own rhythm and path here, so come with an open mind, stay curious, and don’t hesitate to create your own journey.

It’s not just about where you study, but how you make the most of everything the college has to offer. And believe me, there’s so much here to build something remarkable.

8/10
