We are thrilled to announce the results of Lawctopus’ 1st Essay Writing Competition, held to encourage critical thinking, rigorous research, and impactful writing on contemporary legal issues that resonate with the spirit of Indian democracy and independence.
The competition received an overwhelming response with 422 submissions from law students, academicians, and professionals across India. The diversity of perspectives and the depth of research were impressive.
Each entry was assessed on Understanding of the Topic, Research and Use of Sources, Originality and Quality of Argument, Structure and Organisation, and Language, Grammar, and Style, using a strict marking rubric.

Publication of Essays
Select winning and noteworthy essays will be published on Academike in the coming weeks. Copyright of the published essays will remain with Lawctopus, and due credit will be given to the respective authors.

Even if your name is not on the winner’s list, remember that this is one step in your journey as a legal thinker and writer. Your work has value, and we encourage you to keep honing your skills.
