First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
I worked with the IPR desk of YLCube Foundation. This was a virtual internship setup where interns are taught about the organization and how the website functions. First-day formalities included an induction and orientation session.
Main Tasks
The main tasks included:
1. Researching topics, either chosen by the author or assigned to them.
2. Writing an article or paper based on the analysis done.
3. After gaining access, interns were tasked with uploading their manuscripts to the website.
4. Collaborating on a larger project was also part of the responsibilities.
Work Environment
The desk lead, Ms. Sneha, and the co-lead, Ms. Himika, are very kind and professional. The work environment is democratic, where authors are given ample freedom and support to complete their work. Timely feedback is provided, which is helpful as an author. Interns are encouraged to collaborate on projects and network.
Good Things about the Internship
1. While deadlines are respected, the desk lead acknowledges when a time extension is required.
2. Regular feedback is provided.
3. Both leads are available for queries and discussions.
4. A positive environment to learn and grow.
Bad Things about the Internship
The internship was a good experience. There was nothing negative as such. If I have to mention something for improvement, I would say more virtual meetings should be organized.

Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
This internship was virtual in nature. No accommodation was required or provided. Interns worked from home and met virtually through Google Meet.
