Through the medium of the instant Petition, filed under Article
226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner seeks release of outstanding
payment of Rs. 1,61,300/-, along with interest @ 18 percent, on account of
execution of work relating to supply of slew boats/ oars, which work is
claimed to have been issued in favour of the Petitioner under the orders of
the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar/ Respondent No.2 herein.
Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that Petitioner
has filed various representations before the Respondents for seeking
redressal of his grievance qua release of the aforesaid outstanding amount,
but the Respondents, despite receipt of the said representation, have not
considered the same. The learned Counsel, thus, submits that the Petitioner
shall feel satisfied in the event the present Writ Petition, at this stage, is
disposed of with direction to the Respondents, more particularly
Respondent No.3-District Magistrate, Srinagar, to consider the pending
representation(s) of the Petitioner seeking release of outstanding amount
within some specific timeframe.
In view of above, this Writ Petition shall stand disposed of
with a direction to the Respondents, more particularly Respondent No.3-
District Magistrate, to consider the representation(s) stated to have been
filed by the Petitioner for seeking release of outstanding amount of Rs.
1,61,300/- on account of execution of work relating to supply of slew boats/
oars and pass appropriate orders thereon as per Rules expeditiously,
preferably within a period of six weeks from today.
Disposed of, along with the connected CM.
