Heard learned counsels for the appellants and

learned APP for the State.

2. The matter has been placed before this Court for

consideration of the appellants’ prayer for bail under Section

389(1) of Cr.P.C. and suspension of their sentence during the

pendency of this appeal.

3. The present appeals have been preferred against the

judgment of conviction dated 23.12.2023 and order of sentence

dated 02.01.2024 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge-

IV, Jamui in Sessions Trial No. 111 of 2022, G.R. Case No.

2691 of 2021 arising out of Khaira P.S. Case No. 325 of 2021,

whereby and whereunder the appellants have been convicted for

the offences punishable under Sections 304/149, 325/149,

504/149, 506/149 and Section 147 of the IPC and convicted and

sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of

seven years and fine of Rs. 20,000/- each under Section 304/149

of the IPC and R.I. for three years and fine of Rs.10,000/- each

under Section 325/149 of the IPC and R.I. for one year and fine

of Rs.1,000/- each under Section 504/149, 506/149 and 147 of

the IPC respectively. All the sentences are directed to run

concurrently and in default of fine amount convicts shall further

undergo simple imprisonment for additional three months.
