and since then the office and godown of Irrigation
Department of the Government of Bihar has been running.
Subsequently, in the month of March, 1983, the rent of the house
was enhanced from Rs.300/- to Rs.600/- and the rent of the
godown was enhanced from Rs. 150/- to Rs.225/- per month and at
these enhanced rates, the rent was being paid.
5) It is the further case of the petitioner that on account
of inflation, with a view to get the rent fixed by competent Court
of law, brother of the husband of the petitioner filed a Rent Case
No.2 of 1991 in the Court of House Rent Controller-cum-Sub
Patna High Court CWJC No.6690 of 2013 dt.24-07-2025
Divisional Officer, Hathua District, Gopalganj. The learned Rent
Controller called for a report from Circle Officer and vide order
dated 20.06.1991 (Annexure-1) enhanced / fixed the rent of the
house from Rs.600/- to Rs.1200/- and rent of the godown from Rs.
225/- to Rs. 600/- per month, which was made effective from
01.03.1992.
