National Law University Delhi and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a dynamic collaboration at the confluence of law and technology.
The MoU facilitates joint research projects, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and institutional collaboration in key areas such as legal technology, management, entrepreneurship, and regulatory studies. By leveraging their respective expertise, NLUD and NSUT aim to enhance the translational impact of their academic and research endeavors.
A critical aspect of this partnership is the involvement of the NSUT Innovation and Incubation Council (NSUT IIF) and the NLU Delhi Foundation, which will work together to drive initiatives in start-ups, incubation, and technology-driven legal frameworks. The collaboration will enable access to state-of-the-art facilities such as NSUT’s Fab Lab, fostering hands-on innovation and the development of cutting-edge solutions.
To ensure the effective implementation of this partnership, a structured governance model has been established, comprising a Steering Committee and a Technical Committee. The MoU also lays the groundwork for organizing hackathons, ideathons, and similar events to promote innovation and problem-solving among students and researchers. Additionally, it sets a framework for joint funding applications to national and international bodies to support research and development projects.
This MoU marks the beginning of a long-term alliance between NLUD and NSUT. The partnership underscores the commitment of both institutions to fostering interdisciplinary excellence and creating tangible social and economic impact through research and innovation.
