About the Fellowship
OpenUp Fellowship is around a year-long, September 2025 to May 2026, (7 hrs. for 5 days) paid opportunity for interested individuals who believe in the power of the arts to transform education. Based in Lucknow, this fellowship trains young changemakers to use theatre and storytelling in low-income classrooms and communities.
About the Organisation
Bewajah is a non-profit organisation based in Lucknow that works with educational institutions to build agency in adolescents and youth so they can make self-empowering choices in their personal, social and academic sphere as an informed and aware individual and enhance their subjective well-being.
Eligibility
- Have a graduate degree in any discipline.
- Aged between 21 to 30 years
- Good command over both English and Hindi
- Basic computer skills – creating documents, Google Forms, Excel sheets
- Available to work in low-income schools/communities of Lucknow.
- Have interest or some experience in performing (like theatre, storytelling, dance)
- Can commit 7 hrs. for 5 days from September 2025 to May 2026.
Fellowship Duration
September 2025 to May 2026 (1month of training and 8 months of field work)
Stipend
₹8,000/month after induction training
Training/Induction
1 month (unpaid), full-time (7 – 8 hrs) training with school visits, facilitation practice, and mentorship. Final selection will be based on performance during this phase.
