This Criminal Petition is filed under Sections 480 and 483 of
Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to, as
‘BNSS’) seeking bail to the petitioners/accused Nos.1, 3 and 4 in
Crime No.300 of 2025 of Shamirpet Police Station, Cyberabad
Commissionerate, registered for the offences under Sections 8(c) read
with 20(b)(ii)(C), 27(A) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances Act, 1985 (for short, ‘NDPS Act’).
2. The brief facts of the case are that on 06.04.2025 at about 0600
hours, the Station House Officer, Shamirpet Police Station, received a
credible information that some persons are illegally possessing and
transporting ganja from Odisha state to Haryana State via Nagpur in a
Bolero Maxx vehicle bearing No.TG 08 T 2653 and the Inspector of
Police along with staff and panchas noticed that at about 0840 hours
the said Bolero was coming towards Shamirpet and stopped the
vehicle and found the petitioners in the vehicle along with
273.165 kgs. of ganja. The police seized the said contraband along
with other material evidence including mobile phones and vehicle,
which is used by the petitioners. Hence, the complaint.
