1. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the
petitioner has applied for the post of Member of State/ District
Consumer Commission in pursuance to advertisement dated
09.11.2024, whereby, applications were invited for the post of
Judicial/Non-judicial members of State Consumer Commission and
president/Member of the District Consumer Commission by the
respondent.
2. It is further submitted that due to an inadvertent error,
petitioner has opted for District Commission Member as first
preference and State Commission Member as second preference in
the application form. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the
office of Consumer Affairs/respondent to make requisite correction
qua preference in the application form. Moreover, the petitioner
[2025:RJ-JP:15141] (2 of 5) [CW-4100/2025]
has made a request/representation for the same via email dated
03.02.2025, 12.02.2025 and 09.03.2025, before and after the
declaration of final result for reconsideration therein for change in
preference, however, a deaf ear is given by the respondent.
