About Public Policy India
Public Policy India (PPI) is a community-driven knowledge and engagement platform dedicated to building and shaping India’s burgeoning Public Policy and Social Impact space. Public Policy India was created to address the gaps in the “new” Public Policy and Social Impact space and market in India, by offering a dedicated platform that caters to the unique needs of a fast-growing ecosystem, committed to making a lasting impact and contributing to India’s growth story.
It is a social enterprise that seeks to create and serve demand on both sides of the aisle – Lakhs of Young Indians who lack the necessary guidance, community and opportunity to discover and explore the policy space (including but not limited to) as a career option on the one hand.
At the same time – PPI also serves as a bridge for dialogue and active engagement between policymakers/policy enthusiasts on one hand and the rest of the ecosystem – be it think tanks, consulting firms, governments, policy schools etc. on the other for them to achieve a range of goals – recruitment, advocacy, outreach, education, sensitisation etc.
Founded in 2020, we operate across two three verticals: Careers, Community and Capacity Building.
With the public policy, government affairs, policy consulting, and development sectors poised for significant growth, we aim to be at the forefront of this transformation, supporting and driving the sector’s evolution.
PPI is expanding and looking to add a full-time team member to help us out with that growth in the role of a Policy Research and Communications associate.
About the Opportunity

- Research on core policy issues that can then be explained and engaged with across platforms
- Support some of the policy consulting work that PPI does with a range of partners across the eco-system

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills + soft skills
- A genuine passion for the policy space, policy issues and their impact
- Design skills – an inherent understanding of colours, spacing, typography and visual communication.
Outside of these basics, our team will be happy to teach/train you on other skillsets such as video editing, WordPress management, programs/partnerships etc.
Benefits
- A relaxed, fully remote work environment where we only care about you getting the job done on time (and not where, how you do it). This will be a one-year contract to begin with.
- We’ll be paying anything between 4-5L for this role with annual appraisals, and do not expect you to shift cities or spend anything on Rent, Travel etc. If you’re needed to travel for work at all, we’ll fully reimburse all costs incurred
- Healthy work-life balance where we don’t work after 7.00 PM and do not work on the weekends
- Opportunity to take up specific, scoped out tasks in Policy consulting, community building etc. so you can gain experience and learn given we already run different institutions for the same. To reiterate, this’d not be in addition to your existing work load, but in replacement of it and only if you want to
- We’d be invested in your growth as a professional and happy to help you explore other opportunities whenever you may so wish to alongside tagging you in relevant up-skilling programs within the space itself
