1. Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 483 read with Section
528 of the BNSS, 2023, is for grant of interim bail to the petitioner from
20.12.2024 to 05.01.2024, to participate in 67 National Shooting Championship
Competitions (Pistol Events) to be held at New Delhi, who has been booked for
having committed the offences punishable under Sections 18(b) of the NDPS
Act (Section 29 of NDPS Act and Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 474, 201 of IPC
added later on), in a case arising out of FIR No.125, dated 18.02.2024,
registered at Police Station Camp Palwal, District Palwal.
2. Looking at the allegations that the petitioner was traveling in a
car, which was being driven by the co-accused and that two packets of liquid
opium, weighing 2.580 kg and 2.55 kg each (total 5.13 kg), located under the
passenger seat, were recovered from them, I do not find any ground to grant
interim bail to the petitioner, for enabling him to participate in the competition.
3. Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
