This Revision Petition is filed against an ex-parte

order passed by the Family Court, Thrissur in MC

No.434/2017. As per the impugned order, the Family

Court directed the petitioner to pay maintenance to

the wife and child at the rate of Rs.3,000/- and

2,000/- respectively. Aggrieved by the same, this

revision is filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for

the petitioner.

3. Even though the counsel for the petitioner

raised several contentions based on the reason which

leads to the ex-parte order, the revisional court

2025:KER:59991

cannot consider the same. If the petitioner has got a

case that the reason which leads to the ex-parte

order is not correct, the petitioner ought to have file

an application to set aside the ex-parte order. As far

as the revisional court is concerned, this Court can

only look into the merit of the ex-parte order.
