21/08/2025

1. Instant Criminal Misc. Petition under Section 528 of BNSS

(Section 482 of Cr.P.C.) for quashing of F.I.R. No.231/2025 lodged

at Police Station Maha Mandir, District Jodhpur City (East), and all

consequential proceedings for offences under Sections 115(2),

126(2), 110, 191(2), 191(3) and 190 of BNS.

[2025:RJ-JD:37511] (2 of 3) [CRLMP-6278/2025]

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the matter

has already been compromised between the parties as is borne

out from the compromise-deed annexed with this petition. In view

thereof, respondent No.2 – complainant is not inclined to press

charges against the petitioners and proceed further in the matter.

Learned counsel has placed reliance on a decision of Supreme

Court in the case of Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr.

[(2012) 10 SCC 303]. He urges that the impugned FIR and all

consequential proceedings may be quashed on the basis of

compromise.
