Research Assistant under the DPIIT-IPR Chair at HNLU, Raipur

Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the following positions to be filled on contractual consolidated monthly salary basis, under the DPIIT-IPR Chair established under the Scheme for Pedagogy and Research in IPRs for Holistic Education and Academia (SPRIHA), by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Govt. of India, New Delhi, at the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur.

Eligibility

Essential:

• Ph.D. in law or Master’s Degree in law or B.A., LL.B./LL.B. or equivalent Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Good knowledge of latest national and international research trends and developments in the relevant area;
• Ability to conceptualize and organize academic programs like workshops, capacity building seminars, conferences, brainstorming sessions, etc.
• Fluency in English language and proficiency in computer knowledge (MS Office, AI-based activities, plagiarism software, etc.)

Desirable:

• Experience in teaching/research in premier law universities/colleges in relevant area; quality publications in the relevant field
• Excellent inter-personal and team building skills;
• Ability to innovate and to improve research, training and extension activities or services and to pursue interesting new ideas and new methods.

Roles & Responsibilities

Under the aegis of DPIIT-IPR Chair, HNLU, Raipur, RA shall perform the following:

• Provide research assistance and conduct Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) research in relevant areas of law as assigned ;
• As per directions, develop, plan, execute, and report Intellectual Property Rights research in collaboration with external universities, institutions, government departments, industrial and economic agencies, judiciary within India and abroad;
• Participate in overall planning and development of research, training and extension programs of under the DPIIT-IPR Chair;
• Perform any other duties including administrative, coordination, etc. as required to achieve the aims and objectives of the DPIIT-IPR – Chair related Centre for Innovation & IP Laws (CIIPL) at the University

Salary

• Ph.D. holders – INR 67,000 per month
• LL.M. graduates – INR 57,000 per month
• LL.B. graduates – INR 47,000 per month
