Learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Shamungou is
present before this Court physically in the proceeding of CONT. CAS(C)
No. 14 of 2021 which is connected with the proceedings of MC[CONT.
CAS(C)] No. 6 of 2024, MC[CONT. CAS(C)] No. 69 of 2021 and
MC[REVIEW PET.] No. 15 of 2024.
Whereas, the proceeding of MC[REVIEW PET.] No. 15 of
2024 has been filed for condonation of delay of 1933 days in filing the
petition No. 1719 of 2024.
However, keeping in view of the submission made by the
learned counsel for the petitioner, it is deemed appropriate to record
Section 20 of the Contempt of Court’s Act, 1971 that –
“20. Limitation for actions for contempt. –No court shall
initiate any proceedings of contempt, either on its own
motion or otherwise, after the expiry of a period of one
year from the date on which the contempt is alleged to
have been committed.”

Raju; learned counsel for the respondents No. 5, 8 & 10, Mr. Kenajit;
