The appellant has been convicted for the
offences punishable under Sections 394 read
with Section 397/34, 302/34 and 120-B read
with Sections 394/397/302 of the Indian Penal
Code, 1860 as well as Sections 25 and 27 of
the Arms Act, 1959 and has been sentenced to
undergo life imprisonment. His appeal against
conviction is pending before this Court.
Heard learned counsel appearing for the
parties.
It is submitted that the appellant has
already served a sentence period of 12 years
and 5 months.
Taking into consideration the facts and
circumstances of the case, and considering
the fact that the appellant has undergone
more than 12 years of incarceration, we are
inclined to grant bail to the appellant.
Accordingly, the appellant is granted
bail on terms and conditions to the
satisfaction of the Trial Court.
