The petitioners filed this petition U/Sec.166 of the
Motor Vehicles Act against the respondents by claiming
the compensation for the death of one Shankar @
Shankarappa due to the injuries sustained by him in
a road traffic accident that occurred on 29.9.2023.
2. The petition averments in brief are as under:
On 29.9.2023 at about 5.45 p.m., the deceased
after attending the work was proceeding in the motor
cycle bearing No. KA-52-Q-5398 on Tumkur road
towards his home and when he reached near Peenya
metro station, opposite to CMTI, Tumkur road,
Bangalore at that time the driver of gas lorry bearing
No. TN-30-BD-5157 driven by its driver in a rash and
negligent manner from the same direction from Indira
Nagar towards Yadiyur on Bangalore- Tumkur road,
dashed against the deceased vehicle from behind.
