The Police Sub-Inspector of Yeshwanthpura
Police Station submitted charge sheet against
accused No.1 to 4 for the offences punishable under
Section 498(A), 504, 323, 324 read with Section 34
of Indian Penal Code. Accused namely Sri Manas
dropped out from the charge sheet.

2. Prosecution Case: The marriage of CW1
namely Smt. Smitha.R. and the accused No.1 was
solemnized on 25-05-2022 as per Hindu customs
and rites. After the marriage, CW1 was residing at
house No.326, 8th Cross, 12th Main, HMT Layout,
Mattikere, within the limits of Yeshwanthpura Police
Station, Bengaluru City with accused persons
wherein the accused No.1 to 4 with common intention

subjected the CW1 to mental and physical cruelty.
Therefore, CW1 lived separately with the accused
No.1 in the 3rd floor of the aforesaid building. That
being so, on 21-5-2024 at around 9.30 pm, accused
No.2 picked up quarrel with CW1 and all accused
persons with common intention abused CW1 with
filthy language, had voluntarily beaten her with their
hands and accused No.2 hit her with chapati making
board (ಚಪಾತಿ ಮಣೆ) and caused simple injury to CW1.
