1. The present petition is filed seeking leave to appeal against
judgment dated 21.09.2017 (hereafter ‘impugned judgment’), passed
by the learned Additional Sessions Judge (‘ASJ’), Tis Hazari Courts,
Delhi, in Criminal Appeal No. 54613/2016, whereby Respondent No.2
was acquitted for the offence under Section 509 of the Indian Penal
Code, 1860 (‘IPC’).

2. By the impugned judgment, the learned Appellate Court had set
aside the judgment on conviction dated 14.07.2016 and order on
sentence dated 13.10.2016, in Case No. 64719/2016, whereby
Respondent No.2 was convicted for the offence under Section 509 of
the IPC and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of
one month and to pay a fine of ₹5000/-, and in case of default in
payment of fine, to further undergo simple imprisonment for five days.
