We are talking real changes: making consent prompts in every language, ditching shady design tricks, being upfront about what algorithms are doing, and hitting violators where it hurts (including significantly higher fines). Additionally, there is a need to educate users about what they are even agreeing to in the first place. 

The Data Protection Board? Needs some serious muscle. And don’t forget stuff like special rules for kids’ data and consent standards for different industries. It is not one-size-fits-all. Honestly, if all we end up with is a law on paper, nothing’s going to change. It has to be backed up by people who actually care, tech companies willing to cooperate, and folks who trust the whole system.
