This appeal assails order, dated 18.12.2019, passed in M.V.O.P.
No.175 of 2015 on the file of the Chairman, Motor Accident Claims
Tribunal-cum-II Additional District Judge, Kadapa at Proddatur (“for
short, “the Tribunal”), by which, Tribunal determined an amount of
Rs.23,70,000/- as compensation besides interest at the rate of 7.5%
p.a. from the date of petition till realisation and costs.
2. For the sake of convenience, parties herein are referred to as they
were arrayed before the Tribunal.
3. Brief facts relating to the present appeal in a nutshell are as
follows:
(a) This Appeal is instituted by Telangana State Road Transport
Corporation (“the Corporation”) under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles
Act, 1988.
