Mumbai-based Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas equity partner Abhishek Guha to quit the firm along with a team, multiple sources with knowledge of the move confirmed.
Guha, who has been with SAM since its inception, and was a legacy AMSS lawyer since 2006.
Guha is a partner with the firm in the corporate practice group and specialises in private equity investments and mergers & acquisitions, with specialization in the pharmaceutical/healthcare, information technology, and banking & financial sectors.
His clients include Carlyle Group, OMERS, OTPP, Blackstone Group, General Atlantic, Orchid Asia Group, Leeds Equity Partner, Novartis AG, Tata Group and Walmart among others.
Guha is part of multiple executive committees at SAM leading in business development, strategy planning and other diverse firm building initiatives.
