Trilegal advised Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, GIC Private Limited and India’s quasi-sovereign wealth fund, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), in connection with the initial public offering by Ather Energy Limited.
GIC and NIIF were the largest selling shareholders in the offer for sale, marking the first time both investors participated in an IPO through an Offer for Sale. Ather Energy’s IPO is also notable as the first mainboard IPO of FY26 in India and only the second by an electric vehicle (EV) company in the country.
The Trilegal Capital Markets Team advising on the mandate was led by Albin Thomas, Partner, and supported by Sowmya Khandelwal, Senior Associate, and Tushar Chitlangia, Associate.
Trilegal is a law firm with expertise across the full spectrum of corporate legal services, having offices in four key cities of India.
