Reason:
1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. The petitioner herein stands convicted for the

offences punishable under Sections 13(1)(e) and 13(2) of
the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and has been
awarded sentence of four year rigorous imprisonment and
fine of Rs. One lakh.
2. This court has been apprised that the petitioner has
already undergone custodial period of one year and two
months.
3. By the impugned order dated 15.05.2025, the High
Court has denied the relief of suspension of sentence
and release on bail to the petitioner during pendency of
the appeal. Being aggrived, the petitioner has
approached this Court by way of this Special Leave
Petition.
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. Issue notice.
6. In the meantime, as an interim measure, it is hereby
directed that the sentences awarded to the petitioner
shall remain suspended and he shall be enlarged on
interim bail till the disposal of this petition upon
furnishing bail and personal bonds to the satisfaction
of the trial court.
5. List the matter again on 05.08.2025.
