1. This is an application filed by the appellant seeking condonation of
197 days delay in filing the acquittal appeal against the judgment
dated 07.07.2023 passed in case titled Union of India Vs. Sheikh
Waheed Shafi & Anr.
2. We have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the
material available on record, sufficient cause is shown by the
learned counsel for the appellant for filing the appeal after the
period of limitation.
3. For the reasons stated in the application coupled with the
submissions made at Bar, the application is allowed and the delay
of 197 days in filing the acquittal appeal is, accordingly, condoned.
