About VIPS
The Centre for Skill Development is dedicated to enhancing the skills of students by organising various competitions and training sessions. It aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional competence through structured,
hands-on learning programs. Advocates’ Legion is the Moot Court Committee of Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
It organises a wide array of events throughout the academic year to enhance legal understanding and offer students an immersive courtroom experience. Among its flagship events, the VIPS International Law Moot Court Competition stands as a cornerstone of mooting excellence at the institution.
About the Event
In its tenth edition, the VIPS 10th Moot Court Competition 2025 on International Law continues its tradition of fostering a high-standard competitive platform for law students across the globe. The competition will be conducted in a two-stage format in a hybrid mode— commences with a memorial evaluation round, followed by oral rounds, including the Preliminary Rounds (Online Mode), Quarter-Finals, Semi- Finals, and Finals (On-site), which shall take place on campus at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus, New Delhi.
The moot proposition will revolve around pressing and contemporary issues in Public International Law and its diverse branches, compelling participants to undertake comprehensive legal research, develop well-structured arguments, and present their case with precision and professionalism.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to all bona fide regular students enrolled in any Law Course (LL. B/ LL.M) or its (equivalent international) program in any University or Institute within or outside India recognized by the Bar Council or State Government or Central Government as the case may be.
Each team shall comprise a minimum of two members i.e., two speakers, and a maximum of three members i.e., two speakers and one researcher. Thus, each team shall be composed of Two Speakers (Compulsory) and a Researcher (if any). A maximum of two teams are allowed to participate in the competition from one institute.

Fee
The participation fees shall be :-
- Preliminary Round Fee: ₹3,500/- per team
- Advanced Round Fee (if qualified): ₹1,500/- per team
Accommodation shall be provided to teams qualifying for the oral rounds on a chargeable basis. A maximum of two rooms shall be allotted for each team. Charges shall be applicable accordingly.
