Vivek Malhotra has been appointed as the Director – Legal (South Asia) at Zimmer Biomet, a publicly traded American medical device company founded in 1927 and headquartered in Warsaw, Indiana.
As a highly qualified Legal and Contracts professional, he holds a graduate degree in Law and LL.M from National Law University, Delhi. He has been awarded gold medals by the Chief Justice of India for his academic excellence during PGD in Corporate Laws & Management and PGD in Alternative Dispute Resolution conducted by the Indian Law Institute.
He holds extensive experience of over 17 years in the field of legal advisory, corporate governance, contracts & claims management, compliance, and regulatory matters across diversified sectors, and has led several institutional arbitrations, with currently being empanelled as an arbitrator at prominent global institutions including WIPO and ICA. In his previous organizations, as an in-house counsel and contracts expert, he has been advising teams across different business units on strategy formulation for complex contract negotiations, technology IPR, joint ventures, due diligence, dispute resolution, employment matters, data protection, secretarial compliance, etc.His academic qualifications include B.Com (H), M.Com, MBA, M.A. Economics, and several certifications in the field of IPR, GDPR, Contracts Management, and Public Procurement.
