About SPIL Mumbai
Students for the Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai is a student-run academic body based at Government Law College, Mumbai, dedicated to creating awareness and fostering dialogue on contemporary issues in international law. SPIL regularly organises lectures, webinars, workshops, and competitions, attracting participation from across India and abroad.
Amongst our various initiatives such as the Judgment Deliberation Competition (JDC), Treaty Appreciation Competition (TAC), etc., through our flagship event — the GLC International Law Summit — we have had the privilege of hosting eminent scholars, jurists, diplomats, and legal practitioners, and continue to build platforms that connect academia with real-world developments in international law.
About the Webinar
This webinar will delve into the crucial role of youth in shaping and participating in global climate governance frameworks, examining how international legal instruments and institutions have evolved to respond to the climate crisis through youth led initiatives and advocacy.
From UNFCCC mechanisms to climate litigation and advisory opinions, the session will provide insights into both the opportunities and the challenges faced by young climate advocates within the international legal system.
